  • laboratory grade AA (.000025” per 6”)
  • Inspection grade A (.000050” per 6”)

Cast iron surface plates (used as surface master) for calibration of
our systems for large sample applications.

Cast iron is more dimensionally and geometrically stable over time
than granite or ceramics, is more easily worked to a higher grade
of flatness. It provides more uniform optically surface free of color
and refractive index variation characterizing granite plates.
